A Laois Landscape | A piece of driftwood is caught at the edge of a small falls as the water swirls around it at Glenbarrow Woods in Co Laois, Ireland
A Donegal Seascape | The Sun sets over Dunaff Bay in the north west of Donegal as the waves come crashing in against the weather worn outcroppings of rocks.
A Wicklow Landscape | As the sun shines through the trees above and paints the rocks with its dabbled light, the water cascades through small falls at Powerscourt Waterfall in Wicklow.
A Donegal Seascape | An image showing the tide rises quickly upon Kinnegoe Bay in Donegal as a lonely sentinel stands vigilant in its unending watch.
An abstract image of a Cotoneaster arbusculus through the use of camera motion during exposure. Another image from my developing ‘impression’ series.
Wicklow Landscape | The river swiftly drifts by beneath trees heavy with autumnal foliage. The Vale of Clara in Wicklow proved to be a forest full of tree’s heavy with autumnal foliage and vibrant colours and a fast-moving river swollen after some recent heavy rains.
I had the opportunity over the weekend to spend the whole day with the camera on personal work and wow did I enjoy it. It’s been a waaaaay too long since I’ve had the chance to wander around with nothing to do but take pictures. I’ve been promising myself for a while now to produce something shall we say… less photographic!
A Floral Image | I came across this Orchid in their Glasshouse dedicated to these types of flowers. I thought this unusual as it had not flowered yet. Added to that the sprinkelers had just been on and I could’t resist trying something a little different from the average Orchid photograph.
On Tuesday I spoke about my weekend trip to Lough Tay in the Wicklow Mountains and today I will continue with another image from that trip. After I had finished up at the top of the mountain I began to work my way back down. Some of these valleys don’t see sunlight for more then an hour after sunrise.
Another image from my recent travels. This time one of my favorite subjects – floral macro. These flowers were in the garden of the log cabin we were staying in in Cavan. It was great to see them still blooming so late in the year. You can just see the single drop of dew hanging…
4 New shots uploaded after a recent trip to Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall. In between the showers I managed to get a couple of shots I was happy with. Still experimenting with my new Canon 40D and Lee Filter Kit but so far I’ve been very happy with the results.
