I decided to head down to Hook Head in Waterford one weekend in May; the tides at sunset and sunrise were near ideal and the weather looked promising. So, with the car packed for an overnight stay (in the back) I made the relatively short 2.5hr drive down there. If you follow me on Instagram you might have watched the story of that weekend unfold.
Todays image is another from that trip, this time taken just after sunrise and of the Lighthouse itself. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world and the second oldest still in operation. Incredibly the current structure has stood for almost 800 years.
