So I continue my little hiatus from sharing my Donegal trip images and instead share with you another Floral Image I took at the botanical gardens recently. I came across this Orchid in their Glasshouse dedicated to these types of flowers. I thought this unusual as it had not flowered yet. Added to that the sprinkelers had just been on and I could’t resist trying something a little different from the average Orchid photograph. What caught my eye was how the leaf of the flower cupped the bud so protectively, and that beautiful pattern on the leaf itself.
For those who love Black and White images I have also produce a version which I have shared in my B&W Gallery.
And if you are interested in a print of this image please don’t forget I am currently running a print sale for the 2011 Holiday season where you can save 15% on any order.
