A Dublin Seascape | Ducks Upon the Sea – Dublin, Ireland
A Dublin Seascape | Ducks floating across a calm dawn sea enter the frame from both left and right in this Black and White Photograph. Another experimental image from me.

A Dublin Seascape | Sunrise at Howth Head, Dublin looking out to sea with soft morning light falling on the cliffs and Baily Lighthouse, taken in January 2010.
A Dublin Seascape | The very last image shot in 2012, taken in Whiterock Bay in Dalkey, Dublin. A brief break in the cloud allows the dawn sun to send its golden light down across Whiterock Bay while the sea continues to trash the rocks and beach.
I seem to say this every year, but where did that year go? Well it’s that time again, and as I promised in last weeks post to share with you my Top 10 Personal Favourite Images from this year. This is my fifth year (gasp!) doing this.
I recently completed a 12 month project for Bright3D and Fingal County Council photographing the amazing flora and landscapes at Malahide Gardens. In this post I discuss the experience and share a sample of the images produced.
An abstract image of a Cotoneaster arbusculus through the use of camera motion during exposure. Another image from my developing ‘impression’ series.
An abstract image of a ‘Lionel Fortescue’ through the use of camera motion during exposure. Today I wanted to share how I am progressing in my pursuit of a photograph as an ‘impression’ of a time and place rather then ‘record’.
Cavan Landscape | The autumnal colours of the forest are in full display as they reflect in the perfectly still Skeaghvil Lake in Cavan
Wicklow Landscape | The river swiftly drifts by beneath trees heavy with autumnal foliage. The Vale of Clara in Wicklow proved to be a forest full of tree’s heavy with autumnal foliage and vibrant colours and a fast-moving river swollen after some recent heavy rains.
I had the opportunity over the weekend to spend the whole day with the camera on personal work and wow did I enjoy it. It’s been a waaaaay too long since I’ve had the chance to wander around with nothing to do but take pictures. I’ve been promising myself for a while now to produce something shall we say… less photographic!
A Floral Image | Wow didn’t we have a lovely March here in Ireland! Spring seems to be about Cherry Blossoms now more then Tulips, at least where I live.
A Donegal Landscape | A small inlet of water works it’s way down through the black slate like rocks on it’s way to the sea in Donegal, Ireland.
