A Floral Image | Hidden from Sight
The Calla Lily must be one of my favorite flowers. It has been a long time since I have attempted captured an image of this Lily as it is one of those flowers I find difficult to do justice too.

An early morning visit to the Botanical Gardens in Dublin treated me to a freshly watered Rhododendron. The flowers were in full bloom and saturated in heavy droplets of water.
A close-up image capturing the shape and texture of a flowering Strelitzia Reginae with dewdrops on its base. The Strelitzia Reginae, also known as the Bird of Paradise Flower, indigenous to South Africa has been on my photographic list from the first time I saw it almost two years ago in our local Botanical Gardens here in Dublin.
Hi Folks, apologies for it being a little quiet around here for the last couple of weeks. I have a couple of things going on all at once which is taking up a lot of my time. Anyhow here’s another image from my recent trip to the Botanical Gardens and ongoing my experimentation with the…
I took the opportunity last weekend to visit our local Botanical Gardens here in Dublin. It doesn’t mater what time of year it is you are always sure to find something in bloom. And after plenty of grey Sky’s and rain recently it was a great way to lift my spirits. One thing I promised…
I was recently commissioned to produce some very special images as a Christmas gift for a ladies husband. She was looking for a unique perspective of her husbands boyhood home, Clontarf. Here I share the story of how it all came together in a final set of printed images.

After my morning catching the sunrise in Lough Tay last week I decided to round out the day with a trip to one of my favorite places, the Botanical Gardens here in Dublin. They have a great cafe that does a mean cappuccino and some very nice cakes 🙂 The gardens has planted a wonderful kids…
Another image from my my recent visit to the Japanese Gardens, this time of an Echinacea Flower. I noted my blog was looking decidedly yellow recently since I have posted the Black Eyed Susans on their own, with a little Hover Fly, a Bumble Bee and before that I posted Yellow on Green from my trip…
Another image from my my recent visit to the Japanese Gardens, and for anyone following the blog you will no doubt recognise this flower. I spent quite some time around these Black Eyed Susan’s, capturing them on their own, with a little Hover Fly, and today with a Bumble Bee. Unlike the Hover Fly who…
