I am currently traveling so this is a post I prepared last week and is being automatically published. Technology eh! its wonderful 🙂
This was taken earlier this year during my numerous visits to the botanical gardens. It is actually a very tight crop of the right petal (Leaf?) of an Orchid. I wanted to capture the form and texture as well as the incredibly rich colour of this flower. The standard 2×3 ratio of the camera wasn’t going to work in this instance though so a chose a 2¼x1 crop to focus on the detail I wished capture.
