A Donegal Seascape | “Waves crash upon the rocks of a rugged Donegal coastline in Ireland while the dawn sun sends out its golden glow.” Here’s something a little bit different from me. I plan to experiment this year with a lot more abstract type work. And with that in mind I started to experiment a little over the last few months of 2011.

Well here we stand at the very edge of 2011; 2012 just within sight. It’s that time of year again; and as promised last week and again on Tuesday I am sharing my personal Top 10 favourite images from this year.
A Donegal Seascape | Storm Clouds and Crashing Waves – Donegal, Ireland
A Donegal Seascape | After I had taken the Fanad Lighthouse Image I took a walk around the cliff and surrounding area to see what else the location had to offer. Just a short walk away I was able to get down to the sea upon a jagged outcropping of rocks. By this point though the winds had begun to pick up sending the waves crashing upon the rocks, and a much more threatening clouds had begun to move in. Perfect I said in my head.

A Donegal Seascape. I had not planned to get up for sunrise this morning as the forecast was pretty bleak. Yea I know why would I ever listen to a weather forecast! I guess though that something in me made me get out of bed just as the sun was about to rise and when I saw the potential I grabbed my bag and ran. I mean that literally. I had no time to spare.
A Donegal Landscape | A View to Dunlewy Lough – Donegal, Ireland
Here I share another image from my recent trip to the rugged landscape that is Donegal. A small stream was running down through the mountainside and meandering is way down to feed the Dunlewy Lough. I just love the ruggedness of this landscape, surrounded by mountains, full of boulders and streams and lots of little lakes dotted around.
