A Floral Image | Purple Haze
I decided on this occasion to visit the Alpine Gardens as I rarely spend any time there and I was confident I was missing something. And I was right, I came across this Mountain Cornflower which I had not seen before.

My Saturday sunrise trip to Trim Castle turned into an 11 hour photographic marathon and I loved every minute of it 🙂 The images from Trim should follow later this week but to get things kicked off I thought I would post this Crazy Daizy.
An early morning visit to the Botanical Gardens in Dublin treated me to a freshly watered Rhododendron. The flowers were in full bloom and saturated in heavy droplets of water.
Purple Crocuses were having way too much fun on my blog this Spring so I thought I would break up the party a little with an Anemone. They are a flowering plantsin the buttercup family Ranunculaceae in the north and south temperate zones.

This Calla Lilly was captured in May 2008 and is one of the most pivotal images in my portfolio. I remember the day I was in the Botanical Gardens for the first time and happening across a bed of Calla Lilies.
Another image from my recent travels. This time one of my favorite subjects – floral macro. These flowers were in the garden of the log cabin we were staying in in Cavan. It was great to see them still blooming so late in the year. You can just see the single drop of dew hanging…
