I had the opportunity over the weekend to spend the whole day with the camera on personal work and wow did I enjoy it. It’s been a waaaaay too long since I’ve had the chance to wander around with nothing to do but take pictures. I’ve been promising myself for a while now to produce something shall we say… less photographic!
Back to images from my recent trip and here is another image of some tiny mushrooms on a very cold morning in Cavan. These are in fact the same four mushrooms that appeared in a post from 2 weeks ago entitles Early Morning Life. Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II Lens: Canon EF 100mm f/2.8…
Both of these images remind me of the famous line from Walter de la Mer’s poem “The Listeners” – Of the forest’s ferny floor. If there is one thing I remember about alliteration from English class in school it’s this one line đŸ™‚ The composition of both images are almost identical in terms of camera position…
And so I continue with the release of images from my recent travels with this image of mushrooms struggling for life on an early frost bitten morning in Cavan. I like the contrast between the colourful but dead leaves and the pale but living mushrooms. The scene offers an interesting contrast, and possibly a contradiction…
Taken at 8am just as the sun was rising on a very frosty morning on Skeagh in Bailieborough, Co Cavan. It was such a peaceful start to the day and everything was covered in the lightest of frosts when I arrived to the lake.
