Both of these images remind me of the famous line from Walter de la Mer’s poem “The Listeners” – Of the forest’s ferny floor. Early Morning Life
And so I continue with the release of images from my recent travels with this image of mushrooms struggling for life on an early frost bitten morning in Cavan. I like the contrast between the colourful but dead leaves and the pale but living mushrooms. The scene offers an interesting contrast, and possibly a contradiction…
