A Bumble Bee decides to sit down on a Black Eyed Susan yellow flower while he is collecting nectar in Kildare, Ireland
Another image from my my recent visit to the Japanese Gardens, and for anyone following the blog you will no doubt recognise this flower. I spent quite some time around these Black Eyed Susan’s, capturing them on their own, with a little Hover Fly, and today with a Bumble Bee.
Unlike the Hover Fly who settled at one spot for short periods these guys just darted from flower to flower. My title is very tongue in cheek really as this little guy was not even remotely taking a break and I had been following him flipping from flower to flower collecting nectar for some minutes. This was just a chance capture when he landed on one particular flower. Nevertheless I think it looks quite funny, but then again I’m easily amused.
