A Wexford Seascape | Early Morning at Hook Lighthouse #1 – Wexford, Ireland

A Donegal Seascape | Just after dawn heavy clouds move in above the cliffs of Donegal near Portsalon as the viewer looks out to see to watch the tide come in.
This image was taken not long after entering the Massy Woods in the Dublin Mountains, just after sun rise. Winter’s naked branches of an ancient oak reach for the sky, surrounded by the green canopy of nearby pine trees
Cavan Landscape | The autumnal colours of the forest are in full display as they reflect in the perfectly still Skeaghvil Lake in Cavan
I had the opportunity over the weekend to spend the whole day with the camera on personal work and wow did I enjoy it. It’s been a waaaaay too long since I’ve had the chance to wander around with nothing to do but take pictures. I’ve been promising myself for a while now to produce something shall we say… less photographic!
One from the Archives | A close up image of the sunlight causing frost on brown winter withered leaf to sparkle.
A Floral Image | A tiny stamen protrudes from a bed of yellow petals of this Tulip. These beautifully vibrant yellow Tulips really caught my eye as I was wandering through the Italian Gardens.
Spring is here! While I love what every season brings, Spring offers something truly special. This image above captures the very essence of that new life for me. The bud of a new flower literally bursting from the ground. The dead brown leaves surrounding the vibrant pink flower stem acting as a classic juxtaposition – winter/death vs spring/life.
A Wicklow Nightscape | Well here’s something a little different from me. Creating an image of the night sky has been on my list all year but clear skies are as uncommon at night in Ireland as they are during the day.
A Donegal Seascape. I had not planned to get up for sunrise this morning as the forecast was pretty bleak. Yea I know why would I ever listen to a weather forecast! I guess though that something in me made me get out of bed just as the sun was about to rise and when I saw the potential I grabbed my bag and ran. I mean that literally. I had no time to spare.
A Donegal Seascape. The first in a series of images I plan to release from my recent trip to Donegal, Ireland. The image offers a very calm, almost serene seascape taken just after dawn on the 1st morning from a wonderful golden sandy beach overlooking cliffs and open sea.
I spent this weekend with Family down in our usual log cabins at Skeagh Lake in County Cavan. I came across this tiny buttercup almost lost inside tall blades of lush green grass that were drenched after a downpour an hour earlier.
