Last September I returned to one of my favourite seaside locations in Ireland, the Copper Coast in Waterford, a UNESCO Global Geopark. This visit was to lead another one of our very popular Light, Land & Sea 2 Day Copper Coast Photography Workshops.
This particular image was taken at the final location of the official workshop (we also offer an exclusive extra day, to a limited number of participants). While my sole objective during these workshops is to help and facilitate our participants, I will typically set-up my tripod, camera and other gear so it’s on hand should anyone have a question, or simply wish to discuss compositional or technical aspects.
This is not the first time I’ve published an image of Burke’s Island, indeed the last image I released from Waterford was of this very same place, though a very different image. Kilfarrasy Cove, the location of this island is definitely one of my favourite locations along the Copper Coast.
If you are interested in joining Athena and I in the Copper Coast for our October 2017 Photographic Workshop you can find all the details and registration form over on the Light, Land & Sea page. At the time of publishing this article we still have 2 places available.
