In September of 2015 I had the opportunity to spend a week photographing the Isle of Skye. This place has been on my bucket list for such a long time, I was thrilled when the opportunity arose for me to visit it. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
And today I am eventually getting around to publishing the very first image from that trip. I am not sure I can put into words what Skye is like, particularly from a Landscape Photographers point of view. Magical, perhaps.
For anyone that follows me will know, I absolutely love the landscape of my Irish homeland, but the Isle of Skye is well… more. The mountains are taller, the sea more wild, waterfalls and rivers more spectacular, and the light is more dramatic. I really cannot describe how (and I don’t use the word often) epic Skye is. So how about I just stop talking and produce some images. Here’s the first 🙂
