“There is a space between man’s imagination and man’s attainment that may only be traversed by his longing.” ~ Khalil Gibran
I’ve been a little quiet on the blog recently. While I have managed to get out with my camera a few times over the last couple of months I’ve unfortunately found very little time to process images from those trips. But my time has not been wasted as I have been working on some very exciting things and I am looking forward to sharing more information about those with you in the coming days and weeks.
Today’s image was shot on an unexpectedly bright and cloudless day in the middle of April. I’ve been wanting to photograph this location in Malahide for some time and while the image I had in mind was very different from this I worked with the weather conditions on the day and am very pleased with the way this worked out.
An exposure of 3 minutes has turned the relatively calm sea into an opaque sheet of glass while smoothing out the few clouds that were in the sky. I’m left with this feeling that I could climb down that ladder and simply walk across the sea to the island of Ireland’s Eye off in the distance. What do you see?
