I’m a week back from a terrific visit to the Dorset Coast as part of the UK Seaside Photowalk 2013 I co-led with two other terrific photographers. 4 days of shooting, 2 of which were with about 30 photographers was an absolutely wonderful experience. What is known as the Jurassic Coast did not disappoint providing an array of truly unique landscapes. While the weather may have been a little too good for us we were treated to a stunning Sunset at Portland Bill Lighthouse (so stunning I forget to take my camera out)and an equally glorious Sunrise at Old Harry Rocks (managed to remember my camera for this one).
It was a great pleasure and honour to meet up with so many photographers whose work I have followed so closely over the years. To meet and chat with these folks in person was worth the trip alone.
Today I am releasing my first image from the trip which was taken just prior to the aforementioned stunning Sunset at Portland Bill Lighthouse. I found this little platform behind the lighthouse. It took a bit of a climb down to get to it but I loved the shapes of the cracks and potholes all along it’s surface.
