It was just over a year ago when this image was taken, July 3rd, 2010 to be exact. I remember it so well as it was during one of the most magnificent sunrises I witnessed last year. This is in fact the 3rd image I have released from that morning which included Sunrise upon the Rocks and a vertical panoramic entitled Reflections of Sunrise
This was the first image captured in the series just moments after the sun had peaked above the horizon at 5:18am. I know I’ve talked about this before but it is incredible how the light changes during this time. There is just 17 minutes separating all 3 images yet you can see how much the light has changed, and warmed up.
