In this my penultimate post for 2010 it seems a good place to start would be to quote last years entry for this topic – “It’s hard to believe another year has passed in my photographic life and I sit once again with the task of choosing my personal top 10 images from the year. Wow and I thought this was hard last year!” And it was another tough task to whittle 2010 down to just 10 images. Funnily enough just like last year, after the 1st few passes I was left with 17 and sat with them for for a full week trying to make a final selection.
As I look at these Top 10 there is a couple of things that strike me, not least of all is that half of them are sunrises. Looking at my 2010 Aperture Library I can see I completed 8 Sunrises in 2010 and just 2 Sunsets. It also seems to be the year of Landscapes for me with just 2 being of another genre. I won’t comment on stats further in this post but will follow-up on Thursday with a commentary on the year and there will be lots and lots of stats in that post.
Well there you have it, my Top 10 for 2010. I am proud of what I produced this year and am very excited to see what 2011 has in store.

Beautiful collection John. I especially enjoy the abandoned boat and the image with the rainbow. Just beautiful.
Thanks Sven. Yes the Abandoned Boat was an immediate fav for me. I find it very painterly in quality. Indeed your own “Softly As In A Morning Sunrise” has a similar feel to it.
lovely shots. I really like the bee, nice composition, lighting etc.
I have to add my fav 10 from last year- good idea….
Thanks Patrick.
Yes choosing your Top 10 for the year is a great exercise, difficult, but well worth it.
Nice Collection of shots! Glad to find you through Jims site!
Thanks for stopping by Chris. Still working my way through Jim’s post myself.
