This was taken in the tiny village of Sneem along the Ring of Kerry. It’s not often I get a chance to shoot rushing water so I’ll always go out of my way when the opportunity arises, even if that means risking a dunking climbing over slippery rocks with my gear held over head.
This was taken mid-day with fairly bright sky so I needed to use some ND’s and drop the ISO to 50 to get the effect I was looking for in the water. I particularly like the shapes being traced by the waters course in the bottom right of the image.
This image screamed for a mono conversion and after toying with Black and White for a while I settled on Sepia as the right finish.
Beautiful photographs. Do you have any from the Antrim coast?
Hi and thanks for the kind comments. As yet I have not got that far North but I am hoping to head up there later this summer, August/September timeframe.
