The sun peaks above the horizon offering a beautiful magenta light which is captured in the reflections of a small poll surrounded by rocks at Skerries, Dublin, Ireland
The 6am start was most definitely worth it on this occasion. Although I actually made it by the skin of my teeth as the clocks went forward by 1 hour on Sunday and my alarm woke me at 6am rather then 5am. By the time I made it to Skerries the sun was just minutes away from peaking above the horizon. I had just a few moments to select a spot and set the camera up.
However I am extremely pleased with this image and think I have done the scene I witnessed justice. This is currently among my 2009 fav’s to-date. I hope you like it also.
